Head of Household #3 - Cryptid Creation

Welcome to your first creative competition of the season! Not only will be making your OWN new Cryptid as and making basic Folklore around it, but you will also have to depict a 750 word minimum encounter with your Cryptid. It can be a first person account, it can be written in prose/story format, it can be a journal entry, etc.; that much is up to you, but it simply must depict an encounter with or sighting of your original creature.

Overall, you will be required to submit:
- A visual of your creature, be it hand-drawn or digitally drawn, or perhaps collaged together via editing apps. Simply a detailed description is also permissible.
- The name for your Cryptid as well as "facts" about it, perhaps where it lives, what it eats, why it is so elusive, etc.
- A 750 word minimum story about an encounter or sighting of your Cryptid.

You will be judged on these 4 categories:

ORIGINALITY/CREATIVITY: Has this been seen before? Is it unique and thoughtful. perhaps even well-researched?
QUALITY: Is your encounter well-written in the technical sense? Is your drawing well-drawn or your visual well-actualized?
EFFORT: Was your submission sloppily thrown together, or was there time and thought put in?
ENJOYMENT: Was your submission enjoyable to read? Was it fun to look at your creature and learn more about it?

The Houseguest to score the highest after our panel of judges grades them will be the new Head of Household.

You will have exactly 24 hours to submit in your Diary Room. Please make a new thread titled “Cryptid Creation” to submit. For those unfamiliar, simply go to your Diary Room and click “New Topic” to create a new thread.

If you need help uploading your original picture files, ask a host; we can upload it to Imgur for you so that no one can find your image, and so that we can resize it how you’d like.
